Some Flea killer treatments may be unsafe for your pet.

It’s important to know what ingredients are in the topical Flea & Tick treatment you administer to your dog or cat. I urge you NOT to buy the very low-cost Flea treatments. Yes – they’re sold at all of the major stores, but they can and have killed dogs and cats. Do your research. Some Flea applications are made in foreign countries and contain ingredients that WILL harm your pet.

If your pet should react adversely to one Flea medication, then stop use, and try another with different ingredients. My Corgi vomited after I used Advantage, but Frontline Plus she was fine with. Some dogs and cats just have more of a sensitive stomach than others.

Treatments such as Frontline and Advantage are monthly treatments, while Capstar is normally used for a one-time treatment to kills Fleas fast.

If you have an emergency situation and your pet is overcome by Fleas – use Capstar, then begin the following month with a regular schedule of a monthly treatment.
